How to keep your P2P ads on top
Updated 2026-10-23
Your ad's position decides how many orders you get. Here is what moves it, what you control, and how to stay near the top without giving all your margin away.
Why your ad drops
- Competitors move their price, sometimes every few seconds.
- Your ad was disabled after staying in break mode too long (Binance).
- Your price hit your own limit and stopped following the market.
- The ad was disconnected or its settings became invalid.
Track the right competitors
Following the whole list makes you chase outliers. Track the merchants that really compete for your buyers and block the ones that don't, so a single strange ad can't drag your price.

Pick a position, not 'first at any cost'
Second or third with a healthy margin often earns more than first with none. Set the target position and a hard minimum; let the bot hold it.
Use priority when you run several ads
With several ads on the same pair and side, choose which one stays ahead. When price can't separate you from competitors, order is what you own.
Don't lose your place at night
On Binance, an ad left in break mode for about an hour is disabled. Auto-break toggles it for you so the ad keeps its place.
Get told when something stops
Alerts for a bot error, no competitors found, an invalid price or a disconnected ad mean you fix it in minutes, not in the morning.
Questions
How fast should I update my price?
Fast enough to follow the market, not so fast it looks like spam. Price Pulse paces updates for each exchange's API limits.
Does being first guarantee orders?
No. Completion rate, limits and payment methods matter too, and a price war only moves margin to buyers.
Can I automate this on Bybit too?
Yes, the same strategies work on Bybit.
