Bitcoin ETF Outflows Hit $282M as Institutional Flows Diverge Toward XRP

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs surrendered $282.6 million in a single day, extending three-session outflows to nearly $450 million as institutional sentiment cools. Meanwhile, XRP products bucked the macro drag by posting their third straight day of inflows, continuing a 20-session accumulation trend. This sharp divergence signals institutional capital reallocating toward secondary assets while market leaders consolidate.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs bled $282.6 million on September 10, completing a three-day withdrawal streak that pulled nearly $450 million out of the sector. Total net assets slipped back under $98 billion. The swift retreat follows erratic institutional positioning, where massive buying days are immediately undone by aggressive profit-taking.

Ethereum and Solana products shared the pressure, losing $29.8 million and nearly half a million dollars respectively over the same session. However, XRP funds flipped the script by pulling in capital for a third straight day. Investors have absorbed $190.5 million into XRP products across 20 sessions with only a single day of net redemptions.

This persistent accumulation during spot price weakness highlights a patient holder base quietly building positions while capital rotates out of crowded Bitcoin trades. If top-tier assets remain rangebound, this selective flow into secondary majors could signal a broader tactical shift across crypto fund flows.
