Only 825,000 People Own a Full Bitcoin, Making Wholecoiners 70 Times Rarer Than Millionaires

New on-chain estimates reveal that owning a full Bitcoin is seventy times rarer than becoming a USD millionaire. With only eight hundred twenty-five thousand wholecoiners worldwide, institutional ETF absorption and a fixed supply cap are rapidly squeezing retail out of full coin status.

Data from River indicates that roughly 825,000 individuals worldwide hold at least one full Bitcoin. That pales in comparison to the world's 57.5 million USD millionaires, making wholecoiners roughly 70 times rarer than millionaires.

While central bank fiat expansion constantly inflates global wealth metrics, Bitcoin's hard cap of 21 million coins enforces absolute mathematical scarcity. With over 20.1 million coins already mined, the upper boundary of wholecoiners is permanently capped.

Institutional treasuries and spot ETFs are rapidly sucking liquidity out of open markets, shrinking supply available for individual self-custody. As spot accumulation accelerates and corporate treasuries stack sats, owning a full coin is shifting from a retail milestone to an exclusive institutional flex.
