Standard Chartered Standardizes $200 Target for Chainlink as Whale Transactions Hit 5-Month High

Standard Chartered initiated coverage on Chainlink with a lofty two-hundred-dollar target by 2030, triggering a five-month surge in whale transactions. However, stagnant spot ETF flows and rising exchange reserves suggest retail and institutional traders remain cautious. The market now faces a tug-of-war between long-term tokenization adoption and immediate liquidity hurdles.

Standard Chartered sparked a flurry of activity around Chainlink after setting a $200 price target for 2030, triggering 246 large transactions above $100,000 in a single day. Whales holding up to 10 million tokens now control 46.57% of circulating supply as large holders quietly accumulate during the initial hype.

Despite the whale accumulation, broader market conviction remains fragile. Spot LINK ETFs recorded a paltry $150,000 in weekly inflows, while exchange reserves ticked upward to 123.7 million tokens as traders prepare to sell into short-term strength.

With LINK still down over 28% year-to-date, the token faces a clear divide between long-term tokenization promises and immediate market reality.
