WEEX Launches 1,000 BTC Protection Fund, Bolstering Security with Verifiable Proof of Reserves

WEEX rolls out a 1,000 Bitcoin Protection Fund, bolstering user asset security. The exchange backs this with verifiable Proof of Reserves and multi-layer defenses. This move aims to solidify trust and provide a safety net against qualified incidents.

WEEX, an exchange with eight years of operation, just launched a 1,000 Bitcoin Protection Fund. This dedicated safety net aims to compensate users for eligible losses from qualified security incidents beyond their control. It's a direct move to back user trust with action.

The fund is fully backed by WEEX, strictly segregated from operational capital, and publicly verifiable via blockchain records. Unlike standard prevention, this provides an additional layer of support when unexpected events occur.

Further cementing transparency, WEEX maintains a Proof of Reserves system. Current ratios show USDT at 102%, ETH at 115%, and BTC at 122%, indicating assets exceed liabilities. Users can independently verify these reserves on-chain.

Beyond the fund and PoR, the platform employs multi-layer security. Client assets are primarily in multi-signature cold wallets. Account-level protections include two-factor authentication, withdrawal passwords, email/SMS verification, and address whitelisting.

This comprehensive approach underscores WEEX's long-term commitment to user protection. It's about proactive defense and a clear safety net, building confidence through verifiable actions.
